Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid KoppyChats Pro subscription purchases made through the KoppyChats website, Stripe checkout, or another approved KoppyChats billing flow.
Plain-English summary: KoppyChats offers a local-first browser extension for saving, organizing, and exporting ChatGPT conversations. Free features may be available, and Pro features are provided through an active paid subscription.
You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial Pro subscription purchase if the product does not work for your intended basic use case, you purchased by mistake, or another reasonable issue occurred and KoppyChats approves the request.
1. Refund window
You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial Pro subscription purchase if:
- the product does not work for your intended basic use case;
- you purchased by mistake;
- you were charged unexpectedly after attempting to cancel;
- you experienced a technical issue that prevented basic Pro use; or
- another reasonable issue occurred and KoppyChats approves the request.
Refund requests must be sent within the refund window unless applicable law requires a longer period.
2. Subscription renewals
Subscription renewals are generally non-refundable unless required by law or approved by KoppyChats.
If you forgot to cancel before renewal, contact support as soon as possible. KoppyChats may review the request based on timing, account activity, prior refunds, usage, and the circumstances of the charge.
Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but does not automatically refund previous payments.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription through the billing portal or another cancellation method provided by KoppyChats.
Uninstalling the extension, deleting local data, removing a browser profile, deleting exported files, or stopping use of the Service does not automatically cancel your subscription.
After cancellation, your Pro access may remain available until the end of the current billing period unless your subscription is refunded, revoked, charged back, disputed, or otherwise disabled.
4. What happens after a refund
When a refund is approved, the refunded subscription may be cancelled, and the associated Pro access may be revoked, disabled, or downgraded.
Pro features may stop working immediately or after the next subscription or license verification check.
Refunding a payment does not require KoppyChats to delete business, billing, tax, support, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records that KoppyChats is allowed or required to keep.
5. What may not qualify for a refund
Refunds may be declined for:
- requests outside the refund window;
- repeated refund requests;
- heavy use of Pro features before requesting a refund;
- license sharing;
- excessive activation patterns;
- unauthorized resale or transfer of subscription access;
- abuse of the free or paid plan;
- fraud or suspected fraud;
- chargeback abuse;
- violation of the Terms of Service;
- dissatisfaction caused by third-party platform changes outside KoppyChats' control;
- issues caused by unsupported browsers, unsupported devices, modified browsers, conflicting extensions, or local device problems; or
- cases where KoppyChats can reasonably show that the product was delivered and used as intended.
6. Technical issues
If Pro features do not work as expected, please contact support before requesting a refund. KoppyChats may ask for basic troubleshooting information such as:
- purchase email;
- browser name and version;
- extension version;
- operating system;
- approximate purchase date;
- description of the issue; and
- screenshots or screen recordings, if you choose to provide them.
You are not required to send saved chat content unless you choose to do so for troubleshooting.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact KoppyChats support before filing a chargeback so the issue can be reviewed directly.
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute, KoppyChats may suspend or revoke Pro access while the dispute is pending. If the dispute is resolved against KoppyChats or the payment is reversed, the related subscription and Pro access may be cancelled or disabled.
KoppyChats may decline future purchases or access if there is evidence of abusive disputes, fraud, or repeated payment issues.
8. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact support with:
- the purchase email;
- approximate purchase date;
- the reason for the refund request; and
- any relevant details that help KoppyChats locate the transaction.

KoppyChats may need to verify your purchase before approving a refund.
9. Processing time
Approved refunds are usually submitted to the payment processor within a reasonable time after approval.
After KoppyChats submits the refund, the time it takes for the money to appear in your account depends on Stripe, your bank, card issuer, payment method, and location.
10. Legal rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you may have under consumer protection laws or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.
If applicable law requires a refund, cancellation right, notice, or other remedy, KoppyChats will follow the applicable legal requirement.
