1. What does KoppyChats do?
KoppyChats helps you save, organize, and export ChatGPT conversations from your own browser. Depending on your version and plan, KoppyChats may support exports such as HTML, print-friendly HTML, Markdown, TXT, DOCX, PDF, JSON, and ZIP or archive formats where available.
2. Is KoppyChats local-first?
Yes. KoppyChats is designed to be local-first. Saved chats and exported files are intended to stay on your device unless you choose to export, share, upload, publish, or store them somewhere else.
3. Is my chat content sent to the licensing server?
No. The subscription and license verification system is designed to receive access-related information such as purchase email, subscription status, license token or key, device hash, extension version, activation status, and limited product-event data.
Saved chat content is not designed to be uploaded to the KoppyChats licensing server.
4. What pages does the extension read?
KoppyChats is intended to run on supported ChatGPT pages, such as https://chatgpt.com/c/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.
The extension reads the visible page content and page structure so it can perform user-requested actions such as saving a conversation, exporting a conversation, creating a downloadable file, creating a print-friendly file, or supporting right-click/context-menu actions.
5. Does KoppyChats read all my browsing activity?
No. KoppyChats is intended to work on supported ChatGPT/OpenAI pages and KoppyChats-related pages needed for downloads, subscription management, and license access.
It is not designed for general browsing surveillance.
6. What is stored in my browser?
KoppyChats may store saved chats, saved chat titles, source page URLs, timestamps, folder information, export metadata, user preferences, filename settings, button position, local usage counters, and subscription or license verification state.
This information may be stored using browser storage such as chrome.storage.local, chrome.storage.sync, and extension IndexedDB storage.
7. Where do exported files go?
Exported files are saved to your browser’s default download location or another location you choose, depending on your browser settings.
KoppyChats may support export formats such as HTML, print-friendly HTML, Markdown, TXT, DOCX, PDF, JSON, and ZIP or archive exports where available.
8. Do I need an account?
A public customer account may not be required for standard use at launch.
Pro access may be activated or verified through your purchase email, subscription status, license key, access token, device activation, or another approved access method shown at checkout or in your confirmation email.
9. Why does activation ask for my email?
Your purchase email helps KoppyChats confirm that Pro access belongs to the purchaser. It also helps with subscription verification, recovery, billing support, device limits, security, and abuse prevention.
10. What is KoppyChats Pro?
KoppyChats Pro is subscription-based access to paid features.
Pro features are available while your subscription is active, paid, and successfully verified.
Depending on the current version, Pro may include expanded save and export workflows, folders or organization tools, selected-chat or selected-text tools, font options for supported exports, batch or archive export features where available, higher usage limits, and other Pro-only tools shown inside the extension.
11. What do I get with Free vs. Pro?
Free users may save and export within the free-plan limits shown in the extension.
Pro users get access to subscription-based paid features shown in the extension, such as expanded export workflows, organization features, higher limits, and other Pro-only tools where available.
12. Can I use Pro on more than one device?
Yes, if your subscription plan allows multiple active devices.
KoppyChats may enforce an activation limit, such as a maximum number of active devices. Device resets, replacements, or additional activations may be handled through support or another approved flow.
13. What if I reach the device limit?
If you reach the device limit, Pro activation may fail on the new device.
You may need to remove an old device, reset activations, or contact support for help. KoppyChats may allow resets or replacements at its discretion.
14. What if I lose my Pro access details?
Use the recovery option if available.
Because KoppyChats may store license keys or access tokens securely rather than storing raw keys, recovery may issue a replacement key or access flow instead of resending the original key.
A replacement key or access token may disable the old key while keeping the subscription record connected to the same purchase where possible.
15. How do I manage or cancel Pro?
KoppyChats Pro is billed as a subscription through Stripe or another approved billing provider.
You may be able to manage your subscription through a billing portal provided by KoppyChats. Through the billing portal, you may be able to update payment details, view billing history, cancel your subscription, or manage renewal settings.
16. Does uninstalling the extension cancel my subscription?
No. Uninstalling the extension, deleting local data, removing a browser profile, deleting exported files, or stopping use of KoppyChats does not automatically cancel your subscription.
Use the billing portal or another approved cancellation method provided by KoppyChats.
17. What happens if I cancel Pro?
Cancelling your subscription stops future billing.
Your Pro access may remain available until the end of the current billing period unless your subscription is refunded, revoked, charged back, disputed, or otherwise disabled.
18. What happens if my payment fails?
If a subscription payment fails, Pro access may be limited, suspended, or disabled after the subscription or license verification check updates.
You may need to update your payment method through the billing portal if one is provided.
19. What happens if my subscription is refunded?
If a refund is approved, Pro access may be cancelled, revoked, disabled, or downgraded.
Pro features may stop working immediately or after the next subscription or license verification check.
20. Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy.
Refunds may be reviewed based on the refund window, reason for the request, account activity, product usage, technical issues, and whether there is evidence of abuse, excessive activation, license sharing, fraud, chargeback abuse, or violation of the Terms of Service.
21. What if export does not work?
Make sure you are on a supported ChatGPT conversation page, refresh the tab, and try again.
Some actions are disabled outside supported pages. For very large conversations, try HTML, Markdown, or TXT first.
22. Why is export slow?
Very long conversations, conversations with images, or conversations with complex formatting may take longer to process.
If an export is slow, try a simpler format first, such as HTML, Markdown, or TXT.
23. Why does PDF or DOCX export look different from the page?
Some formatting may change when browser content is converted into PDF, DOCX, or another document format.
For the most complete visual export, try HTML or print-friendly HTML.
24. Why are images missing from an export?
Some images may be hosted by third-party services, blocked by browser security rules, expired, protected by permissions, or unavailable by the time the export is created.
When supported, KoppyChats may attempt to include images referenced in the active conversation, but image handling can depend on browser rules and third-party platform behavior.
25. Why did my saved chats disappear?
Saved chats are stored locally in your browser or browser profile.
Local data may be lost if you clear browser storage, delete the browser profile, uninstall the extension in a way that removes data, use a different browser profile, switch devices, reset the browser, or run cleanup software.
Export important chats as files if you need an extra backup.
26. Can KoppyChats recover deleted local chats?
Usually, no.
If saved chats were only stored locally and the local browser data was deleted, KoppyChats may not be able to recover them. Export important conversations as files if you need long-term backups.
27. Does KoppyChats use cloud sync?
KoppyChats is designed to be local-first at launch.
If optional sync, cloud backup, team, or hosted features are added later, they should be clearly described before use.
28. Does KoppyChats sell chat data?
No. KoppyChats does not sell saved chat content.

No. KoppyChats does not use saved chat content for advertising.
30. Does KoppyChats use saved chat content for model training?

31. Does KoppyChats use ads?
KoppyChats is not designed around ads. It is designed around local-first storage and subscription-based Pro access.
32. What information is used for subscription checks?
KoppyChats subscription and license checks may use information such as purchase email, subscription status, license token or key, device hash, browser/device label, extension version, activation status, and related access metadata.
This information is used to verify Pro access, enforce device limits, reduce abuse, troubleshoot access problems, and maintain the Service.
33. What if ChatGPT changes and KoppyChats stops working?
KoppyChats depends on browser APIs, extension permissions, Chrome Web Store rules, and the structure of supported ChatGPT pages.
If ChatGPT, OpenAI, Chrome, browser APIs, or browser store policies change, some features may temporarily stop working or require an extension update.
34. Which browsers are supported?
KoppyChats is built first for Chrome-compatible browser extension environments. Support for other browsers may depend on the current build, browser APIs, store requirements, and extension compatibility.
35. Why does the extension need permissions?
KoppyChats needs browser permissions to perform user-requested actions such as reading a supported ChatGPT conversation page, saving local data, exporting files, showing context-menu actions, managing settings, and verifying Pro access.
The extension is not designed to use permissions for general browsing surveillance.
36. How do I contact support?

You do not need to send saved chat content unless you choose to provide it for troubleshooting.
